Jacksonville will add another craft brewery to its growing roster this Spring with the grand opening of Hyperion Brewing Company on May 19th in Historic Springfield.
Billing themselves as Jacksonville’s first and only nano-brewery, they will focus on experimental beer styles on their one barrel system, constantly rotating new recipes. In an innovative twist, Hyperion will use customer feedback and POS data to determine which beers fit into their core portfolio rather than hit the ground running with a predetermined lineup.
The opening of the taproom will feature a limited lineup of Hyperion beers alongside thoughtfully curated guest taps. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled at 4:30 with doors officially opening at 5pm. Guests can take home up to two crowlers of their favorite offerings and Eddis & Sons Food Truck will be on hand serving up authentic Philly-style cheesesteaks.
The brewery has partnered with the Jax Brew Bus to offer safe transportation from the Beaches. Round trip tickets are $15 and include a voucher for a free pour from Hyperion on a later date. The bus will pickup at Green Room Brewing Company at 4:30, 6:15, and 7:30pm.
The brewery will remain open throughout the weekend during the SPAR Tour of Homes.
